Prefixes and Suffixes:
A prefix or a suffix is a letter or letters added to a word to create a new word.
Suffixes:
Rule 1. For most words, the suffix is just added to the end of a word
Rule 2. For words ending in silent e, drop the final e before adding a
suffix that begins with a vowel a, e, i, o, u.
Rule 3. For words ending in one vowel and one consonant, double the
consonant before adding a suffix that begins with a vowel a, e,
i, o, u.
Rule 4. For words ending in consonant-y, change the y to i before
adding any suffix, excepting.
